Canada Day 2008 |
| |
In 2007, the City of St. Albert
invited the churches of St. Albert to participate in the Canada
Day celebrations at Lions Park here in St. Albert. As a church
we discussed it and prayed on it and decided this was on our
heart to show St. Albert again how much we love you! And what
better way than to set up a tent and do free face painting and
stick-on tattoos for the day? Now in our 2nd year at the
celebrations, we had 2 tattoo ladies and 6 face painting artists
along with another 10 or so people from the church handing out
bibles, talking with the crowd and keeping the free water at the
water cooler stocked up. We're already looking forward to seeing
you again next year! |

Getting the Grace Family tent ready. |
The tent is all set up and the crowd
starts to line up. |
So.. where do we start? |
If you don't want your face painted
we've got stick on tattoos. |
More tattoo action. |
Another face just getting under way. |
Face painting takes concentration! |
The line-up got pretty long by
mid-day. |
Don't worry.. see I practiced on my
own face first. |
Our artists hard at work painting
many faces. |
Hold still now.. this is the hard
part. |
Busy, busy busy! |
The line up never went away all day
long. |
Am I going to be in the paper? |
Beside our tent the line-up for
Dairy Queen goodies and Save-On watermelon just like every year. |
