This year in two separate camps,
200 children came to camp to
enjoy sports, camaraderie and to
listen to the good news of Jesus.

Every morning at general assembly, the kids sang, danced and "Raced to the Son" with the Lifeway Vacation Bible School theme of "Rickshaw Rally" which introduced them to Japanese culture and basic Christian principles. Even though we had a record 3 days of rain, the kids had a ball and it was our most successful camp yet. The rain didn't dampen our Thursday

night barbeque either as the kids and their parents filled the church hall to have a burger or hotdog and watch the kids perform the songs they'd practiced all week in the morning assembly.

We were blessed again this year with volunteer staff from Valley Baptist Church in Montana (their 3rd year!!), the crossover team which included folks from
Florida and  Vancouver and the student ministry team with folks from Texas. In all, 35 folks traveled here from afar to lend a hand with Sports Camp.

This year we also had more volunteers than ever from our own City of St. Albert. Our heartfelt thanks to the moms and dads and professional nurses who gave their time this year.

We thank you Lord for working through our church to
reach out  to our community and show them your love.
