Our Pastor

Michael McElroy

Michael was born in Alameda, California and moved to Arlington Texas when he was eleven.

While earning a degree in music and studying classical guitar, Michael was also being shaped as a minister. Involvement in campus ministries gave him the opportunity to not only hew his musical skill, but develop a heart for the hurting and the lost.

The son of a minister of music, Michael became familiar with a variety of musical styles at an early age. It was at a little Baptist church in Texas that Michael first began to recognize the power of music to communicate. The process of becoming a song writer happened naturally as this young musician learned to play his guitar inspired by the Christian works of Love Song, Phil keaggy, and the 2nd Chapter of Acts.

It was during these formative years that while touring with The Spirit of Life, Michael sensed God’s leading to Canada. Following his graduation from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985, Michael and his wife Charlotte came to Winnipeg were they served the inner city and First Nations people. Michael and Charlotte worked in Winnipeg for over nine years and then moved to St. Albert with their three children: Calvin, Tom, and Michal-Renee.

A Message from the pastor . . .

Everybody needs a place along his spiritual journey where he can sense the presence of God and worship Him, where he can receive spiritual strength and guidance for the week ahead, where he can belong to a caring group of people who encourage him along the way.

As a pastor, I have been touched by the love of God and have found in Jesus Christ a joy and purpose in living.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, it is our desire that you will experience this love of God by participating in our weekly celebration of life in Him.

There is a place for you in this growing fellowship.  We look forward to the possibility of your becoming part of the Church Family.  We invite you to come and grow strong with us!
